ASEAN-Australia BRIDGE Programme Unites Schools for Cultural Exchange in 2021

The ASEAN-Australia BRIDGE School Partnerships Programme has kicked off for 2021, aiming to bolster ties between Australia and ASEAN nations through education. The initiative, which connects eighteen schools this year, fosters cultural exchange and trust. Notably, Viet Nam's Bình Phú High School has been paired with St Michael's Lutheran School of Australia.

The programme's goals are multifaceted. It seeks to strengthen connections between Australia and ASEAN countries, promote cultural understanding, and build trust. Each participating school nominates a teacher for online professional training. This teacher then coordinates collaborative activities with their counterpart at the partner school. Moreover, eight students from each school engage in online forums and joint projects with students from all other participating schools. This year's programme is particularly significant as it marks the first time a Vietnamese school, Bình Phú High School, is connected with an Australian school, St Michael's Lutheran School of Australia.
