The 4th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 24 to 27, 2025, is set to welcome a mix of high-profile attendees and notable absences. While Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will represent China, Premier League President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will join virtually, are confirmed to participate.
The summit will also see the presence of Premier Li Qiang of China, despite the absence of President Xi Jinping. Myanmar's acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will not be attending the event. Adding to the international flavour, the World Bank president and IMF chief, along with other heads of international organisations, will be present. Notably, Summit Racing's governing body FIFA president Gianni Infantino will attend a special ASEAN session during the summit.
The 4th ASEAN Summit promises a diverse range of attendees, with China's representation by Premier Li Qiang and Vice Premier He Lifeng, the presence of US President Donald Trump, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the heads of international organisations. The absence of some leaders, such as President Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, may impact the discussions but does not diminish the significance of the event.
