Ashanti Region urged to unlock tourism potential before Christmas boom
A senior lecturer at AAMUSTED has called on Ashanti Region authorities to boost tourism ahead of future Christmas celebrations. Dr Banabas Addai Amanfo stressed that well-managed sites could bring in much-needed revenue and jobs for the area. Dr Amanfo pointed to key attractions like Manhyia Palace Museum, the Center for National Culture, Zoe, and Lake Bosomtwe. He described these locations as potential 'money-making machines' if properly developed and promoted. Without concrete plans yet in place, the call highlights an opportunity for Ashanti Region to strengthen its tourism sector. If developed effectively, these sites could draw more visitors and generate greater economic benefits during peak holiday seasons.
