Assam CM Warns Against Disruptions at Zubeen Garg's Cremation
The cremation of renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg took place today in Kamarkuchi, Sonapur NC village near Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued a stern warning against those disrupting peace at the event.
Dr Sarma stressed the importance of discipline and public cooperation in following the law and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the government. He urged everyone to act with restraint and dignity at the cremation site. Reports of chaos and unruly behaviour by a few visitors have been addressed by the Chief Minister. He warned that strict legal action will follow any breach of order or violation of SOPs at the site. The government has implemented clear guidelines to preserve calm and respect at the cremation.
The cremation of Zubeen Garg took place peacefully, with the public adhering to the guidelines and maintaining a respectful atmosphere. Any further disruption or violation of the rules will result in strict legal action.
