Assam Election Commissioner ensures fair preparations for SKAC polls in Tinsukia
Assam State Election Commissioner Ranjan Sharma recently visited Tinsukia to assess preparations for the upcoming Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council (SKAC) election day. During his visit, Sharma expressed satisfaction with the readiness for the polls and emphasized the importance of conducting a completely free and fair election.
Sharma's visit was accompanied by other high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Tinsukia district, as well as State Election Commission Secretary Gitartha Barua. The meeting was attended by senior local officials, such as the District Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, and Election Officer. Sharma also recommended removing the names of deceased and relocated individuals from the voter list to ensure its accuracy.
