The Chief Minister has proposed for Bihu committees to dedicate one evening to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika's songs, further honouring the late musician's legacy. The organizations have also reiterated their demand to name a train after Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, suggesting the name 'Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Express'. They have urged the state government to secure this recognition, even suggesting a mass signature campaign if necessary.
