Assam's 'Sushrusha Setu' Camp Treats 2,020 Children, Boosts Rural Healthcare
A mega health camp, 'Sushrusha Setu', was recently held in Orang under the Assam Government's Sevaai Samarpan initiative. The camp was inaugurated by Mazbat MLA Shri Charan Boro and attended by senior officials from Health and Education departments.
The camp, named 'Sushrusha Setu', provided healthcare services to children and adolescents below 18 years of age. A team of doctors from various specialties, including pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, gynaecology, and general medicine, offered their services. Over 2,020 children underwent health check-ups, covering over 50 categories of ailments. Free medicines were distributed during the camp. Serious cases were referred to advanced hospitals for specialized treatment. The initiative was appreciated for improving rural healthcare access in the district.
