Astana's heating season ends April 22 with phased shutdowns

The decision comes as outdoor temperatures rise, according to the capital's official municipal website.

Hospitals, schools, cultural institutions, and residential buildings will now be gradually disconnected from central heating.

Authorities report that the heating season proceeded without incident.

Earlier, Kazakhstan introduced updated regulations for water metering devices.
