Astrid Jutta Fath to lead Wohnbau Mainz as new technical director

Astrid Jutta Fath will take over as the new technical managing director of Wohnbau Mainz. The company, jointly owned by the city of Mainz, ZBM, and RIO Energieeffizienz GmbH & Co. KG, announced her appointment ahead of her start on October 1, 2026. Fath brings a wealth of experience in housing management, urban development, and real estate strategy to the role. Fath succeeds Franz Ringhoffer, stepping into a position with broad responsibilities. Her focus will include the technical oversight of Wohnbau Mainz's properties, as well as the leasing of residential and commercial units. The role also requires managing a varied portfolio, from subsidised and market-rate housing to commercial spaces and social infrastructure.

Before joining Wohnbau Mainz, she served as a board member at TreuBau Freiburg AG. Her career spans housing management, public administration, and real estate development, with particular expertise in urban and project development. Shareholders have expressed confidence in her appointment, citing her technical skills and long-term strategic approach. Fath's contract officially begins on October 1, 2026. Her background in portfolio management and project development aligns with Wohnbau Mainz's goals for its diverse property holdings.
