Audi and Revolut launch Formula 1 team for 2026 season debut
Revolut and Audi have joined forces to launch a new Formula 1 team, set to debut in the 2026 season. The partnership marks Audi’s first entry into the sport’s top tier and Revolut’s biggest marketing push yet. The team, named Audi Revolut F1, will feature branding from both companies on its cars.
The collaboration aims to boost Revolut’s global presence while reinforcing its shift from a payments app to a full-service bank.
The Audi Revolut F1 Team was officially unveiled in Berlin, with veteran driver Nico Hülkenberg and Brazilian talent Gabriel Bortoleto confirmed as its racers. The car will carry Revolut’s logo prominently, giving the fintech firm high visibility across Formula 1’s worldwide audience.
Revolut has set an ambitious target of reaching 100 million customers by mid-2027. The exposure from Formula 1 is expected to speed up this growth, particularly in untapped markets like Colombia. Beyond branding, Revolut will serve as the team’s official business bank, managing payroll, international online payments, and treasury operations.
Audi’s entry into Formula 1 is backed by a partnership with British energy company bp, which is financing and supporting the venture. For Revolut, the deal aligns with its broader strategy to expand business banking services and reposition itself as a fully fledged financial institution rather than just a travel or payments app.
The Audi Revolut F1 Team will begin racing in 2026, with Revolut handling its financial operations and gaining global exposure. The partnership supports Revolut’s push into new markets while reinforcing Audi’s presence in motorsport. Both companies aim to leverage Formula 1’s reach to accelerate their respective growth plans.
