AUSA Honors Medal of Honor Recipients with George C. Marshall Medal

The Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) presented the George Catlett Marshall Medal to Medal of Honor recipients at its 2025 Annual Meeting and Exposition. Master Sgt. Earl Plumlee, accepting the award on behalf of the honourees, highlighted the Army's enduring values and unity.

The Marshall Medal, named after the distinguished Army officer and statesman George Catlett Marshall, recognises outstanding service. Previous recipients include The Army Noncommissioned Officer, The Army Family, and The American Soldier. This year, it honoured Army recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military decoration.

Master Sgt. Plumlee, along with other retired officers and a former lieutenant, accepted the award. He stressed the importance of living up to the values represented by the Medal of Honor in daily life, emphasising the Army's adaptability and unity across different decades and conflicts. Despite technological advancements, Marshall's emphasis on integrity, discipline, and teamwork remains relevant today.
