Austrian Post & Samaritan Federation Launch 13th 'Be Someone’s Secret Santa' Campaign
The Samaritan Federation and Austrian Post have launched the 13th annual 'Be Someone’s Secret Santa' Christmas campaign. This initiative aims to bring joy to children living in poverty by sending them free gifts. Last year, over 18,000 gifts were collected and distributed. To participate, choose a gift worth around €20-40, wrap it, and drop it off at any post office or Post Partner location by December 23, 2025. Use a free shipping label from Austrian Post or label it with '#TeamChristkind'.
The campaign targets the significant issue of child poverty in Austria, with one in five children at risk. The hardship is particularly severe during the holidays. The online platform shopping.at offers pre-assembled gift packages for all ages, and monetary donations are also accepted to support the campaign. Despite the lack of information about the coordinator and the start date of this year's campaign, participants are encouraged to contribute generously.
The 'Be Someone’s Secret Santa' campaign relies on the kindness of strangers to brighten the holidays for children in need. By simply wrapping a gift and dropping it off at a post office, you can make a real difference. Let's aim to surpass last year's total of 18,000 gifts and bring even more joy to those who need it most this Christmas.
