Azerbaijan, Tajikistan Presidents Meet in Dushanbe, Vow to Strengthen Ties

In Dushanbe, the capitals of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, Presidents Emomali Rahmon and Ilham Aliyev met on October 10. The gathering was part of the CIS Council of Heads of State summit, with Rahmon presiding.

Aliyev and Rahmon took the opportunity to discuss pressing issues, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening ties between their nations. They reflected on their previous meetings, both in their respective countries and at international events, acknowledging these encounters as pivotal in expanding cooperation.

The Presidents also exchanged views on the prospects for further collaboration, expressing optimism about the successful development of bilateral relations. This optimism is rooted in the progress made thus far, as noted by both leaders.

The meeting in Dushanbe underscored the importance of the relationship between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. With a shared vision for enhanced cooperation, the Presidents have set the stage for continued progress in their nations' bilateral ties.
