Baden-Württemberg Showcases Tourism's Innovative Power as Economic Driver

Baden-Württemberg has underscored the innovative power of tourism and its vital role in shaping the region's economic and societal future. Around 110 key players from the tourism industry, politics, and academia gathered to discuss this topic at the 'Let's talk about tourism: Tourism meets innovation' event in Berlin.

The event, hosted by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism and other organisations, highlighted tourism's significance as a location factor and driver of innovation. Practical examples such as AI in guest services and hybrid guest cards were showcased to illustrate how innovation strengthens tourism.

Dr. Patrick Rapp, State Secretary in the Ministry, emphasised that 'Tourism is location policy', stressing the importance of cooperation for success. An exhibition, 'Travel and Innovation Land Baden-Württemberg', displayed the diversity of innovations in the region's tourism industry. A high-level panel explored the underlying patterns of tourism innovations and their potential to enhance city and community life in the future.

With key players collaborating and practical innovations on display, the region is positioning itself as a leader in innovative tourism, set to contribute to its economic and societal viability.
