"Once you shut your trap" - Outburst by AfD politician - Baden-Württemberg’s budget debate erupts into shouting match between lawmakers

A heated budget debate in Baden-Württemberg’s state parliament turned ugly when AfD lawmaker Daniel Lindenschmid shouted at CDU colleague Raimund Haser. The clash led to a formal reprimand from Landtag President Muhterem Aras. Both sides had already exchanged sharp words during discussions over the supplementary budget.

The confrontation began as Haser repeatedly interrupted a speech by AfD faction leader Anton Baron. Aras had already warned Haser for his behaviour earlier in the session.

Aras issued Lindenschmid a formal reprimand for his outburst. The incident added to the already tense atmosphere during the budget debate. Both ruling coalition and opposition members had been trading sharp remarks before the confrontation escalated.
