Highest Old-Age Pensions for Men in the Southwest - Baden-Württemberg’s men lead Germany in old-age pension payouts

Men in Baden-Württemberg receive the highest old-age pensions in Germany, according to recent figures. The state’s strong economy and high wages push median payments above the national level. Around 2.2 million residents currently draw an old-age pension there.

The latest data shows men in Baden-Württemberg with at least 35 years of contributions earn roughly €2,013 gross per month. This figure tops the national average of €1,892 for men and surpasses even North Rhine-Westphalia, where men receive about €2,005.

The numbers highlight a clear disparity between male and female pensioners in Baden-Württemberg. While men benefit from the state’s economic strength, women’s payments lag behind. The data also underscores how regional wage differences impact retirement income across Germany.
