Balitanghali marks 20 years as Philippines’ trusted noontime news authority

GMA Integrated News' flagship noontime newscast, Balitanghali, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The programme, known as the 'News Authority sa Tanghali', has been a staple for Kapuso viewers since November 11, 2005.

Balitanghali has consistently covered major news stories both locally and internationally. It has been at the forefront of breaking news and also covers investigative, feature, and special reports. The programme's success is attributed to its extensive use of technology in newscasting and its team of multi-awarded and seasoned journalists, including Connie Sison and Raffy Tima.

The programme is hosted by Aubrey Carampel, who presents the 'Mare, Ano'ng Latest?' segment, featuring the latest showbiz and lifestyle stories. Balitanghali's correspondents based in Dagupan City, Cebu City, and Davao City are Cris Zuñiga, Cecille Quibod-Castro, and Sarah Hilomen-Velasco respectively. Marielle Corpuz serves as the program director for these correspondents.

Balitanghali's longevity and impact on Philippine free TV are a testament to its commitment to delivering accurate and up-to-date news. As it enters its third decade, the programme continues to be a trusted source of information for viewers.
