Overall, Sports Aid has committed around €25 million to training, equipment, and stipends for the German team. These funds are already making an impact, with the 2026 Games set to run from February 6 to 22 in Italy. Yet the evening also looked forward. As Frankfurt hosted the gala once more, debate grew over where the 57th Ball des Sports should take place. Both Frankfurt and Wiesbaden have put forward bids, turning the decision into a point of regional pride and political discussion.
