Bamberg's First Volunteer Day for Integration: A Diverse Event for Community Engagement
Bamberg is set to host its first Volunteer Day for Integration on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event, running from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the St. Josef Community Center in Hain, is free to attend and funded by various organizations.
The day will kick off with a talk by Jutta Weigand and Katarina Majkic from Sozialstiftung Bamberg Altenhilfe gGmbH, focusing on the role of migration in German care services. The event is organized by the City of Bamberg’s Office for Inclusion, Freund statt fremd e. V., and the Carithek Bamberg Volunteer Center.
Participants can choose from four workshops, split into two sessions. Topics range from engaging all senses in volunteer work to creating teaching materials for language promotion. Another session will delve into cultures in dialogue and maintaining meaningful conversations.
