The Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) Officers Association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 in Kuakata last week. Over 75% of the association’s members attended the main event, which took place at the conference hall of the Tourist Holiday Complex and Youth Inn motel.
The meeting began with a welcome address from outgoing president Md Sirajul Arefin. As his term concluded, senior vice-president Md Golam Mahbub led the session as presiding officer.
General secretary ATM Golam Kibria presented the association’s financial report. Later, SM Nizamul Islam, convener of the Constitution Amendment Committee, shared the committee’s findings with attendees. A cultural programme followed the formal proceedings. Local group Kuakata Shilpigoshthi performed for the gathered members.
The AGM marked the end of Md Sirajul Arefin’s term as president. With no new leadership announced yet, the association will proceed under interim arrangements until further updates. The event combined official business with local cultural performances for attendees.
