Bangladesh Honors 55th Armed Forces Day with Grand Reception in Kuwait
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait held a reception on 26 November to mark the 55th Armed Forces Day of Bangladesh. The event brought together diplomats, military officials, and members of the Bangladeshi community living in Kuwait. Ambassador H.E. Major-General Syed Tareq Hussain led the ceremony, honouring the sacrifices of those who fought in the 1971 Liberation War. The reception took place at the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait, attended by high-ranking officials and international guests. Among them was Major-General Feras Adel Al-Shaheen, Assistant Chief of Staff for Administration and Manpower of the Kuwait Armed Forces, who served as the Guest of Honor. Ambassadors from various countries, defense attachés, and representatives from civil society also joined the event. The reception underscored the deep bonds between Bangladesh and Kuwait, built on decades of cooperation. With defense ties remaining strong and a large Bangladeshi community in Kuwait, the event reinforced the commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations. The occasion also served as a reminder of the shared history and sacrifices that continue to unite the two nations.
