Bangladesh Makes Debut at Frankfurt Book Fair with 200+ Books
The National Book Centre stall was inaugurated at the International Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany on Wednesday. Bangladesh's ambassador to Germany, Muhammad Zulqar Nain, officiated the event. Present were Director of the National Book Centre, Afsana Begum, and consultant to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Professor Faizul Latif Chowdhury.
Over 200 books published from Bangladesh are showcased at the fair. A seminar has been organised for Saturday, featuring a keynote address by Professor Naomi Hossain. Hossain, a British-Bangladeshi researcher, is known for her work in development studies, including 'The Politics of Education in Developing Countries'. Although her current professorship and institution are not publicly clear, she is affiliated with the University of London for this event.
The stall's inauguration marks Bangladesh's presence at the prestigious International Frankfurt Book Fair. The seminar, led by Professor Naomi Hossain, promises insightful discussions on development studies.
