Bangladesh Strengthens Security Ahead of 13th National Parliamentary Election
The Election Commission (EC) has finalised security plans for the 13th National Parliamentary Election. A high-level meeting with law enforcement agencies was led by the Chief Election Commissioner to ensure tight coordination and preparedness for the upcoming polls.
Security arrangements will follow a three-tier system. Static forces will guard polling stations, mobile units will patrol key areas, and a central reserve force will remain on standby. Striking forces will also be organised under the same categories to enhance mobility and rapid response during voting.
The security framework includes static, mobile, and reserve forces, alongside judicial and cybersecurity measures. Deployment timings will be adjusted as needed, with armed forces supporting civil authorities where necessary. The home ministry will oversee final decisions on security logistics and coordination.
