Bar brawl in Reutlingen leaves police officer injured and two arrested
A late-night bar dispute in Reutlingen turned violent early yesterday, leaving a police officer injured and two people facing charges. The incident began as a verbal argument before escalating into a physical confrontation involving multiple patrons.
The trouble started when a 35-year-old woman clashed with another customer inside the bar. Two men soon joined the argument, turning it into a physical fight. Police were called to the scene to break up the altercation.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to separate those involved. The 35-year-old woman then struck a police officer in the face, causing minor facial injuries. Both she and her 35-year-old husband were taken into custody at the local police station. The woman now faces charges for assaulting a law enforcement officer. Her husband remains under investigation for his role in the initial fight.
The injured officer received medical attention for minor injuries. Authorities have not released further details on additional measures or documentation. The case follows a separate incident in Reutlingen where a three-year-old boy was seriously injured by a bus, though police confirmed no connection between the two events.
