Bärbel Horn Receives Heusenstamm’s Medal of Honor After 30 Years of Service

Barbara (Bärbel) Horn has been awarded Heusenstamm’s Medal of Honor in a ceremony at the town hall. The recognition follows nearly three decades of service to the city and its residents. Horn’s contributions span local politics, community work, and civic leadership.

Horn’s public service began in 1997 when she was first elected to the municipal assembly. She served there until 2001, after which she became a magistrate member for the Free Voters’ Association. This role lasted from 2001 to 2023, marking over two decades of involvement in local governance.

The Medal of Honor adds to Horn’s previous distinctions, including the Hessian Certificate of Honor and the title of Honorary Alderman. Her nearly 30 years of service have left a lasting mark on Heusenstamm. The city’s recognition highlights her role in shaping local life and governance.
