Bauma residents vote to ban all private fireworks by 2026
Residents in Bauma have voted to ban private fireworks across the entire municipality. The decision was made in a local ballot held at the end of November 2025. Officials confirmed the result will take effect from January 2026.
The vote took place on November 30, 2025, with a turnout of 52.89%. Of those who participated, 1,025 supported the ban, while 791 opposed it. The measure will apply to all private fireworks within Bauma’s boundaries.
The prohibition will cover all private fireworks starting in early 2026. Authorised public events will remain unaffected, provided they meet local regulations. The council’s announcement confirms the enforcement timeline after the appeal period ends.
