Söder Pushes for Close Cooperation with Partner Regions - Bavaria Expands Global Network: Söder Meets Ramaphosa, Eyes Bangalore Alliance
Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder is set to expand the state's international network today, with plans to include regions from every continent. He will meet with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa later in the day, and has suggested adding Bangalore, India, to the alliance.
Söder, who has emphasized the importance of regional partnerships for growth and prosperity, is strengthening ties with international partner regions to combat economic downturn. The current partner regions include South Africa’s Western Cape, Georgia (US), Quebec (Canada), São Paulo (Brazil), Shandong (China), and Upper Austria. Seven regions have agreed to deepen collaboration in economy, science, research, technology, and innovation.
Söder's meeting with Ramaphosa today is part of his efforts to expand this network. He has also suggested including Bangalore, India, in the alliance, further diversifying the global reach of these partnerships.
