Ralph Siegel and Martina Gedeck Honored with Bavarian Maximilian Order - Bavaria Honors Five New Icons in Science and Art with Prestigious Order
Five new members have been added to the Bavarian Maximilian Order for Science and Art. The prestigious award was handed out in Munich by Minister-President Markus Söder. He described the honorees as role models for the state of Bavaria.
The order was first established in 1853 by King Maximilian II. Since 1981, it has been awarded regularly to recognize outstanding contributions in science and the arts. No more than 100 living individuals can hold the title at any one time.
The award ceremony took place in Munich, where Söder personally presented the honours. With this recognition, the five new members now stand alongside some of Bavaria’s most distinguished figures in science and culture. The order remains one of the state’s highest accolades.
