Bavaria Honours 45 Volunteers for Decades of Lifesaving Service
A special awards ceremony took place at BRK House in Fürth to recognise long-serving volunteers from the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). The event honoured 45 men and women for their decades of dedication, with some serving for up to half a century.
In the Fürth district, 18 volunteers were celebrated for 25 and 40 years of service, while five others received awards for 50 years of commitment. The city of Fürth itself saw 18 members honoured for 25 and 40 years, with another eight recognised for 50 years of service.
The ceremony brought together officials, volunteers, and guests to acknowledge years of service. Those honoured included individuals with 25, 40, and 50 years of membership in the BRK and THW. Their ongoing efforts continue to support emergency response and community welfare in the region.
