Bavaria’s Fire Brigade Volunteers Win First Social Media Award for Digital Impact

The Friends of the Gartenstadt Fire Brigade e.V. has taken home the first-ever Bavarian Social Media Award 2025. The group won in the 'Network Creator' category, standing out among 192 applicants from across Bavaria. Their work was recognised for boosting volunteer engagement through creative and accessible online content.

The award was presented at the bayern.ehrenamt.digital 2025 convention in Munich. Bavarian Digital Minister Dr. Fabian Mehring handed over the prize, highlighting the association’s strategic approach and digital impact. The jury praised their ability to connect with new audiences while keeping communication clear and engaging.
