Bavaria’s leaders tour Futrue’s breakthroughs in brain-computer innovation
Bavarian Minister-President Dr. Markus Söder and CSU parliamentary leader Klaus Holetschek visited Futrue in Gräfelfing on December 17, 2025. The trip highlighted the company’s cutting-edge work in neuroscience and biotech, with a focus on brain-computer interfaces and advanced therapies. Both politicians stressed Bavaria’s role as a leader in future medicine and innovation funding.
Futrue, founded in 2008 by Dr. Clemens Fischer and Madlena Hohlfelder, unites over 20 companies with more than 90 approved drugs. The holding firm includes PharmaSGP, PureSGP, and Vertanical, among others. During the visit, Söder and Holetschek explored Futrue Neurosciences, a division developing brain-computer interfaces to restore sight, mobility, and speech.
The visit underscored Futrue’s role in pushing medical boundaries while aligning with Bavaria’s investment in high-tech research. With political backing and funding, the company aims to accelerate therapies for patients worldwide. The state’s focus remains on streamlining regulations to turn scientific progress into real-world solutions.
