Belarus Establishes New Appeals Economic Court Led by Yury Kobets

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has established a new Appeals Economic Court. The decree was signed on October 27, with Yury Kobets, a deputy chair of the Supreme Court, appointed as its leader.

The new court, which will handle economic disputes, will have 27 judges in total, including the chair and deputies. Despite the establishment of the court, details about its deputy chairman remain unknown. Yury Kobets, who will lead the court, is a prominent figure in Belarus' judicial system, having served as a deputy chair of the Supreme Court.
