Dmitry Palkhouski, deputy chair of the Pinsk District Executive Committee, recently met with local bloggers. The October 31, 2023 meeting saw Palkhouski discuss various topics, from local cuisine to political views, with his responses turning into viral memes.

Palkhouski, who oversees social issues, culture, and ideology in the district, shared his recommendations for tourists visiting the Pinsk region. He suggested trying 'fish on a spit' and 'tovkanitsa', a dish made from mashed potatoes. He also discussed the life cycle of pigs on local farms, revealing they are typically slaughtered for pork after living for about six months.

The deputy chair is known for his pro-Russian stance. He praised integration with Russia and supported their actions during the 2020 attempted coup and 2022 special operations, referring to Russians as 'true friends' and 'true brothers'. Palkhouski believes Belarus and Russia should continue to stand together.

During the meeting, Palkhouski's responses were candid and humorous, with some turning into viral memes. He joked about not restricting his wife's phone use, stating it would result in him not getting dinner. Palkhouski's views on local cuisine and political integration have sparked conversation and amusement among locals and online.
