Beloyarsky schoolchildren gain a voice in regional youth policy decisions
Schoolchildren in Beloyarsky have joined the Children's Public Council under the regional ombudsman's office. This move gives them a direct role in shaping youth policy across Sverdlovsk Oblast. The appointment of a local public representative has also strengthened ties between the district and regional authorities.
Elena Drozdova, director of the Ravnovesiye Center in Beloyarsky, has been named public representative for Tatyana Titova, the Children's Rights Commissioner for Sverdlovsk Oblast. Her new role ensures closer cooperation between the district and the ombudsman's office. Grigory Vikharev, head of the Beloyarsky Municipal District, highlighted that this appointment allows for direct engagement with regional officials.
The Ravnovesiye Center specialises in the rehabilitation and social adaptation of children. Since its establishment, it has improved the district's collaboration with regional authorities. However, no similar centres for child rehabilitation and integration have opened in other parts of Sverdlovsk Oblast since 2024. Beloyarsky schoolchildren now have the chance to take part in federal projects through the Children's Public Council. Their involvement lets them influence decisions on youth policy at a regional level.
The new appointments and council membership provide Beloyarsky's young residents with a stronger voice in regional matters. The Ravnovesiye Center's work and the ombudsman's support are expected to bring further opportunities for local children. No plans for similar centres in other districts have been announced so far.
