Bergisch Gladbach: FWG and Volt in Talks for Joint Faction
Bergisch Gladbach's city council is seeing negotiations for potential cooperation among smaller parties. While specifics remain unclear, talks hint at a joint faction between FWG and Volt, aiming to meet the requirement for a faction and send experts to committees.
FWG, with only two seats after the municipal election, is in talks with Volt to form a joint faction with three seats. This would allow them to meet the requirement for a faction and send representatives to committees. Alex Becker (Volt) and Rainer Roehr (FWG) have agreed to work pragmatically and solution-oriented, focusing on traffic and digitization of administrative processes.
FWG and Volt hope to gain strong synergy effects from a cooperation. They aim to work together on nature preservation, Zanders development, budget discipline, and urban infrastructure. Benno Nuding, co-founder and former chairman of FWG, has resigned and will not be part of the FWG group in the new city council. Initially, Nuding will appear as an independent council member, but he may join a faction if an agreement is reached.
Negotiations continue between FWG and Volt for a potential joint faction in Bergisch Gladbach's city council. This cooperation, if successful, could bring significant benefits to the city's development and management.
