Berlin Airport Sees Modest Passenger Growth in July 2024
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) saw a slight rise in passenger numbers this July. Nearly 2.37 million travellers passed through its terminals, a small increase of 0.25 percent compared to the same month last year. The airport also handled more cargo, though flight movements dipped slightly overall.
The summer holiday season brought a surge in activity at BER. From July 23 to 27 alone, the airport managed nearly 394,200 passengers across roughly 2,700 flights. The busiest single day came earlier in the month, with July 11 recording around 85,500 travellers.
BER’s July figures show steady passenger growth alongside a notable rise in cargo. The slight drop in flight movements suggests changes in scheduling or aircraft capacity. The airport remains a key hub for both travellers and freight in the region.
