Berlin Arson Spree: Two Car Fires in Two Nights Leave Multiple Vehicles Destroyed
Overnight, a Ford Focus was completely destroyed by fire in Fennpfuhl. The LKA Berlin's arson unit has taken over the investigation, as preliminary findings suggest deliberate arson. This incident follows a similar car fire in Lichtenberg yesterday evening, which is also being investigated for possible arson.
In Fennpfuhl, the Ford Focus was engulfed in flames, leaving it totally destroyed. Two neighboring Volkswagens sustained severe heat damage. The fire also spread to a nearby car in Lichtenberg, damaging a white Ford Transit and an adjacent Volkswagen. The Berlin State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is currently investigating both incidents. They have not yet identified or disclosed the perpetrators responsible for these car bombings.
The LKA Berlin is actively investigating the car fires in Fennpfuhl and Lichtenberg, treating them as potential arson cases. The incidents resulted in significant damage to multiple vehicles. Further details and the identification of the culprits are awaited.
