Berlin arson suspect arrested after portable toilet fire in Lichterfelde

A suspected arson attack took place in Berlin’s Lichterfelde district early this morning. Emergency services responded to a fire in a portable toilet on Drakestraße around 2 a.m. The incident led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man already known to police.

The fire broke out in the early hours, with flames engulfing the portable toilet. As officers arrived, a man emerged from the burning structure with his jacket ablaze. Police quickly extinguished the flames on his clothing, and no injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing under the arson unit’s supervision. The suspect’s identity has not been publicly confirmed, and further details are expected as the inquiry progresses. The extent of the damage to the car and surrounding area is still being assessed.
