Berlin assault leaves man injured after late-night glass bottle attack

A 41-year-old man was injured in Berlin’s Gesundbrunnen district after an early-morning attack. The incident happened inside a venue on Prinzenallee, where a dispute escalated into violence. Police are now searching for a 39-year-old suspect in connection with the assault.

The altercation began around 4 a.m. inside the establishment. The victim became involved in a confrontation with two men, which then spilled outside. During the fight, one of the attackers struck the 41-year-old in the face with a glass bottle, leaving him with deep lacerations.

A police officer at the scene provided first aid before the injured man was taken to hospital for outpatient treatment. The suspect fled immediately afterward, heading toward Grüner Straße. Authorities have since assigned a specialised investigative unit from Police Directorate 1 (North) to track down the 39-year-old attacker.

The victim received medical care for his injuries and was later discharged. Police continue their search for the suspect, who remains at large. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
