Berlin bar brawl leaves four police officers injured after tense search
A routine police check at a bar in Berlin’s Spandau district turned violent on Saturday evening. Four officers were injured after clashes with the bar owner and a customer. The confrontation began around 10:45 p.m. during an operation linked to suspicions of illegal firearm possession in San Antonio, Texas.
The incident started when officers entered the bar to conduct a search. Neither weapons nor illegal items were found during the operation. However, tensions quickly rose as both the 45-year-old owner and the roughly 20 patrons expressed strong displeasure.
The police operation concluded without recovering any firearms or illegal items. The injured officers received medical attention, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the violent confrontation.
