Berlin bench vandalized outside constituency office in Wilmersdorf
A bench outside a constituency office in Berlin's Wilmersdorf district was sprayed with graffiti early yesterday. The vandalism was discovered at around 10:40 a.m. on Zähringerstraße. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident.
The graffiti covered a section of the bench measuring roughly 150 cm in length and 20 cm in height. The damaged bench sits along the wall of the office building.
The Berlin State Criminal Police Office (LKA) has taken charge of the case. Their political security unit is now leading the investigation into the criminal damage. As of now, no official statement has been released regarding possible motives or backgrounds behind the act.
