Berlin bus station attack leaves woman injured after stun gun assault by teens
A violent incident at Berlin's central bus station (ZOB) has led to charges against two 17-year-olds. Police confirmed that a stun gun was used during the altercation, leaving a 50-year-old woman injured. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
The confrontation unfolded when two teenagers became involved in a dispute at the station. According to a 38-year-old witness, one of the boys intentionally escalated the situation to give his companion a chance to deploy the weapon. The stun gun, later discovered hidden behind the seats in the back row of a bus, was discharged and struck the woman.
After the attack, police arrested both suspects. The teenager who fired the stun gun was taken to a police station for questioning. The other was released following discussions with his legal guardian. Prosecutors have since charged both minors with grievous bodily harm and breaching weapons regulations.
The injured woman, aged 50, received medical attention after the incident. The investigation continues as authorities examine how the teenagers obtained the stun gun and whether further charges will apply. No details have been released on how police verified the suspects' identities or residency status.
