Berlin Completes Bridge Improvements On Time, Mayor Urges Swift Traffic Release
Berlin has completed bridge improvements on schedule, with Mayor Michael Müller urging swift traffic release from Deutsche Bahn (DB). The city spent around 1.3 million euros, staying within its budget.
The city widened the roadway and installed railings, moving the curb to the southern edge. The new crossing remains largely unchanged, with no area interventions. Müller met with the engineering firm, hired for the budget car rental project in cooperation with DB, to expedite document submission. However, DB is currently withholding traffic release due to crossing plan updates.
The city has stayed within the originally planned timeframe for the construction. Müller has assured prompt action through various contacts to ensure DB InfraGo reacts swiftly.
The bridge improvements, costing approximately 1.3 million euros, were completed on time and within budget. Mayor Müller is working to ensure DB releases traffic promptly, despite needing to update the crossing plan. The new crossing will not differ significantly from the existing one.
