Berlin Crash: Elderly Couple Struck, Man in Critical Condition
A serious traffic accident occurred in Berlin's Wedding district yesterday morning. An 82-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife were struck while crossing the street, with the man sustaining severe injuries.
The couple was crossing Luxembourg Street towards Amrum Street with the pedestrian light in their favor. A 38-year-old driver, turning left from Amrum Street into Luxembourg Street, failed to yield and hit them. The man was thrown onto the car's hood and then fell onto the road, sustaining a severe head wound and being rushed to the hospital. His wife also suffered a head wound but was treated and released as an outpatient. The driver's identity and current status remain unknown.
The accident is under investigation, with authorities appealing for any witnesses to come forward. The couple's condition remains a concern, with the man's injuries described as severe.
