Berlin crash leaves three injured as driver mystery deepens after hit-and-run
An accident in Berlin’s Westend neighbourhood left car occupants injured and initially missing from the scene. The damaged vehicle was found empty, with no immediate trace of the driver or passengers after it collided with a lamp post on Rominter Allee near Rossitter Platz. Authorities later located three individuals nearby: an 18-year-old suspect, along with two alleged passengers aged 17 and 18. All three initially refused to disclose who had been driving, claiming no responsibility. The 18-year-old suspect and his mother later accused each other of being behind the wheel. The investigation continues under the traffic crimes unit. The 18-year-old suspect remains in hospital, while authorities work to clarify who was driving at the time of the crash. No further updates on the injured parties or the cause of the accident have been provided.
