Berlin Crash: Woman, 49, Seriously Injured in Alt-Hohenschönhausen
A serious car crash in Berlin's Alt-Hohenschönhausen neighborhood left a 49-year-old woman with serious torso injuries. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when a 44-year-old woman driving a Škoda lost control of her vehicle and collided head-on with the 49-year-old's car. The 44-year-old driver was heading towards Rhinstraße on Malchower Weg when she had to brake sharply to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, her Škoda skidded and veered into oncoming traffic, leading to the head-on collision. A 67-year-old driver reversing his Hyundai into a driveway on the same road may have contributed to the incident. The 49-year-old victim's condition is not considered life-threatening, but she was rushed to the hospital for inpatient treatment. The case is now under investigation by the specialized Verkehrsunfallaufnahme unit of Police Directorate 3 (East). The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in serious injuries for one person.
