Berlin Extends Lifeline for Women Facing Violence at Ostbahnhof Until 2027
A vital support service for women facing violence or threats will continue operating at Berlin Ostbahnhof. The contact point, launched in August 2024, has been extended for another two years due to strong demand. Staffed by trained professionals, it offers round-the-clock assistance and a safe space for victims to report incidents.
The decision to extend the service came in December 2025, following approval from the Berlin Senate Department for Justice, Consumer Protection and Anti-Discrimination. Originally part of a federal pilot project, the contact point has handled a high volume of cases since its launch.
The contact point will now remain open until at least late 2027. Victims of violence or those feeling at risk can continue accessing free, confidential support at Berlin Ostbahnhof. The service’s ongoing operation underscores its role in providing both immediate aid and long-term protection.
