Berlin kebab shop robbery leaves two injured after gambling dispute
A man has been accused of robbing a döner kebab shop in Schöneberg, Berlin. The incident began after he lost money on a gambling machine inside the premises. Police are now investigating the attack, which left two employees injured.
The suspect entered the shop and played on a slot machine, losing a large sum of cash. As staff prepared to close, he demanded they refund his losses. When they refused, he allegedly threatened them with a fork.
He then grabbed money from the till and fled toward Schöneberg S-Bahn station. During the struggle, he injured a 23-year-old worker with a döner knife. A second employee was also hurt while attempting to stop him. Police records show no similar robberies linked to gambling machines in Berlin kebab shops over the past year.
The suspect remains at large after stealing cash and injuring two people. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the stolen money has been recovered.
