Berlin police arrest man after late-night salon break-in attempt
A 34-year-old man was arrested in Berlin’s Witzleben neighbourhood after allegedly breaking into a hair salon and attempting to burgle another business. The incident unfolded late on Tuesday night, with police acting swiftly after a witness raised the alarm.
The suspect was first seen around 11:25 p.m. on Kantstraße, where a woman reported him attempting to gain access to the backstage of two hair salons. Plainclothes officers nearby noticed the activity and began monitoring his movements.
The investigation remains ongoing under Police Directorate 2. Authorities have not yet released details about the suspect’s identity or possible motives. The stolen money and recovered tools will form part of the evidence in the case.
