Berlin police bust trio in daring car break-in spree across the city
Berlin police have arrested two men, aged 21 and 25, and a 41-year-old woman in connection with a series of car break-ins. The arrests took place in Weißensee, with the suspects caught red-handed during a car theft in Prenzlauer Berg.
The 21-year-old was observed smashing a vehicle's window, while the 25-year-old acted as a lookout. The woman waited in a rented car nearby. Both men were taken into custody by the Criminal Police of Directorate 1 (North). During their arrest, police found a stolen backpack, tools, electronic devices, and additional stolen property, which may link this incident to other recent thefts across Berlin. Investigations into these potential connections are ongoing.
The 21-year-old and 25-year-old suspects have been transferred to a correctional facility, with the younger man held by the Criminal Police of Directorate 1 (North). The 41-year-old woman was released after her identity was verified. Police continue to investigate this case and any possible links to other recent thefts in the city.
